The appointment was for 4:30. 
We looked at each other for the first time; "Annie" reminded me of Gabrielle1: The same blonde coloring, the same Germanic cheekbones, a sister, perhaps, older; lines on her forehead from a harder-lived life. But, where Gabrielle1 was cool, warm.

"$140, two services, for an hour."

She had to leave at 5:00. "But you may have one-half hour."

"No, I need the full hour."

She was having dinner with friends.

"I see that you have a life! Will you be working tomorrow?"
